Όπως σε κάθε ηλεκτρονικό κατάστημα, έτσι και σε αυτά που είναι φτιαγμένα κάνοντας χρήση του WooCommerce για WordPress, ο υπολογισμός των μεταφορικών είναι μια από τις κύριες ρυθμίσεις. Εκτός και αν ο ιδιοκτήτης του καταστήματος έχει αποφασίσει να παρέχει δωρεάν μεταφορικά ή με μια σταθερή τιμή για όλα το προϊόντα, τότε πραγματικά ο υπολογισμός των μεταφορικών είναι μια σύνθετη διεργασία η οποία περιλαμβάνει ζώνες και κλάσεις αποστολής, δυσπρόσιτους Τ.Κ, διαφορετικές χρεώσεις ανά βαθμίδα βάρους, ογκοχρέωση, κόστος αντικαταβολής και πολλά άλλα.

Όλα αυτά είναι ρυθμίσεις που απαιτούν πολύ μεγάλη προσοχή, καθώς ο μη σωστός υπολογισμός είτε θα οδηγήσει σε αυξημένες χρεώσεις του παραλήπτη, ή θα ζημιώνει τον ιδιοκτήτη του καταστήματος.

Στην περίπτωση μάλιστα που ένα ηλεκτρονικό κατάστημα επιλέγει να συνεργαστεί όχι με μία, αλλά με διαφορετικές εταιρίες, όλα όσα προαναφέρθηκαν γίνονται ακόμα πιο σύνθετα, και αυξάνουν την πιθανότητα λάθους υπολογισμού του κόστους μεταφοράς.

Στο WooCommerce.com ή στο WordPress.org υπάρχουν λύσεις για ηλεκτρονικά καταστήματα και ταχυμεταφορές, αλλά μόνο για το εξωτερικό. Αυτό το κενό ερχόμαστε σήμερα να καλύψουμε, παρουσιάζοντας πρόσθετα για δύο εταιρίες ταχυμεταφορών, οι οποίες δραστηριοποιούνται στην Ελλάδα. Αυτές είναι οι Ταχυμεταφορές ΕΛΤΑ και η Speedex.

Υποστηρίζονται οι υπηρεσίες αποστολής τους τόσο στο εσωτερικό όσο και στο εξωτερικό, με τα πρόσθετα ΕΛΤΑ Shipping Costs Calculator και Speedex Shipping Costs Calculator αντίστοιχα.
